Releasing and embracing-the winter solstice

Releasing and embracing-the winter solstice

The longest night A solstice meditation

Reach beyond those ribs and cradle the aches. Nourish your own self—live your life, love this body, smile. Take yourself on as a lover

Bring gifts to yourself—

kindness, touch, compassion, quiet, admiration, slow down, go deeper, listen to your body, reduce debt, listen to the silence, wear red, smile more, eat less, listen, embrace, open your eyes, love

Move, dance, stretch, sleep, shed the weight–the physical and the weight of expectation, shed the old stories, stop the internal voice

Embrace the solitude

Donate, reduce, recycle, play, make love, family, dine in candlelight, set the table, invite change

simplify, be, content, meditate

Go on a journey

Bake bread, cry, laugh, stretch, take a class, toes in the sand, watch more sunrises, touch the earth, walk in circles, gather rocks, create circles, give thanks, be grateful

Speak.  Draw.  Read.  Create.  Write.

Thanks Carol, morning journaling at it’s best (and most useful).

So lovely, Walker. If I could achieve all of this I’d be a much happier person. Thanks for the much-needed reminder.

Happiest of holidays to you and your loved ones.

Yep, but it sure seems like a long way to spring!

Lovely. I’ll want to read this at least once a month! Thanks for posting.

Thank you. I’m thinking I should print and post on mirror so I’ll remember to practice what I preach!

This is how I feel about these winter months. Funny, but I was just thinking about it this morning when I heard some birds singing. I love the outdoors and I love Spring and Summer, but Winter brings with the cold, a wonderful excuse to be indoors doing all the creative things I love to do. Fantastic post Walker.

Thank you so much Linda. I love it when we can connect with a shared idea or vision.
