Your Absurdly Odd and Fascinating Questions About Sex

Sexy questions (1)Everyone has questions about sex…we’re just afraid to ask. I get the strangest search words leading to my blog so I’ve decided to answer these questions with a little humor, for those less-informed among us! All in the spirt of #AdultSexEdMonth  Are you ready?

Grannies Sex Life

Yes, grannies have a sex life. I’m a grannie at age 59 and my sex life rocks. There are women in their 80s who report regular sex. They may not be doing it with agility on the kitchen counter, but they’re having sex.

Penile Implant, does it excite women?

Oooh…good question! Whereas most men will tell you they get really turned on by seeing naked women, we might not be as uniformly turned on by male anatomy.  Women who crave intercourse and a hard male member will likely be in favor of men using something to cope with erectile issues. But, we may not be excited, per se, by the idea of you going to that much pain and work just for a hard organ. What about experimenting with other ways to approach sex that don’t require you to be rock hard? Think about expanding your repertoire for oral sex, add  in some sex toys and use touch and other means of bringing us pleasure.

Pretty clitoris

As far as I know there are no beauty standards for the clitoris. Just like penises, noses, fingers–they all are intrinsically beautiful. The man who said my clitoris wasn’t pretty would lose access and be banned from my presence for all eternity.

Glue on the vagina

WTF. I suspect this person was looking for Vajazzle. Here ya go.

Ideal Sex longivity that satisy a woman

It takes as long as it takes. PS: I’m turned on by proper spelling.

 Little erection pics

Hmmm.

 Products to turn on women

There are lots of products that claim to turn on women. Mostly they consist of topicals (lotions you apply to the clitoris or vulva) that contain some natural and spicy (peppermint oil or something) ingredient to give our lady parts a nice tingly feeling. What really turns on women? Tenderness, affection, a willingness to experiment, skill, intimacy, clitoral stimulation…. All the “product” in the world isn’t going to turn her on if you’re not invested in being a good lover.

What does a lady orgasm feel like?

I get some version of that question all the time. People are so eager to understand orgasms. Whether you want to see if your partner is having one, or your’e a woman wanting to know more about that elusive orgasm. It’s hard to explain.  Women different in their ability to orgasm and in how it feels. It can range from a sensation of shuddering and contraction feelings rushing throughout the body to a mild contraction centered on and around the clitoris. Some women experience orgasms that include vaginal contractions, others don’t. It may produce flushed skin, rapid heartbeats, sighs and moans or not. Women can be silent or screaming. Research tends to support the idea that only about 20% of women will orgasm from intercourse alone. Most of us need prolonged stimulation of the clitoris. There are women who can “think” themselves to orgasm with no bodily contact. What they all have in common is a satisfying feeling. The female orgasm lasts longer than the male climax.  We can have multiple orgasms while it takes most men time to be able to climax a second time.

 Public erection

Not always a good idea. Control yourself.

Agreed on the spelling as sexy. Also, doing the dishes. At our house we call it choreplay.

Choreplay! Love it. When I was in grad school in the 70s I was taking a class in Behavioral Modification and my research project involved my husband’s dishwashing frequency and the reward of sex!!

Ha! Thanks Ellen. I can’t imagine doing the Vajazzle thing. Plus I think anything that involves glue and hard edged crystals near intimate body parts is just unwise.

Oh, did I ever belly laugh over this post! Aside from “erotic” being misspelled 17 different ways in some of the search engine referral terms for my blog, one that really disturbed me was “BBW drowning in water.” I don’t think I’ve used the term “BBW” in my blog … and drowning in water? How did Google ever associate my site with that? I don’t even want to know the immature, misogynistic turd who was looking for something like that.

That would disturb me too. Sometimes they’re just absurd. I did a series of posts a few years ago, going through the alphabet–they’re not about sex. But, recently searches have skyrocketed because people are searching the letter P–and sorely disappointed when they get to P is for Purpose, Planning, Pace and Persistence.

Was wondering what you knew about clitoral piercing? A friend of mine said she had read 50 Shades of Gray, and really wanted to have her pierced for the extra stimulation? All I can think of is OUCH! Your thoughts.
And thanks for your site, it is great!

I don’t anything about clitoral piercing, but my first impression is ‘ouch’ as well. I think there are many ways to increase clitoral stimulation that don’t involve piercings. I’ve never read 50 Shades of Grey so can’t really comment from that point of view. Take a look at http://www.kinkly.com and see if they have any information, they’re a great resource on all things sexual! (and you’ll find me there on a monthly basis)
